Good news! Diana's full-length collection of poems entitled, "Inside the Elephant's Graveyard" has been selected as a finalist for the Violet Reed Haas Award in Poetry. Although the manuscript didn't win, Snake Nation Press liked the book so much, they asked to hold onto the manuscript in case they can get the funding to publish it. Here is what the editor had to say about the manuscript:There are so many good things in this manuscript that puts in in my top 3. The opening poem (and the recurring Terminix man idea) introduces a sadder tale of dealing with a mother with Alzheimer's. A very cliché subject that uses nothing familiar as a crutch.
